A few days prior, we were promised fairly good weather for the 2nd. Annual Tanner Jam, but folks, we didn’t get it! The rains came early Saturday, and simply would not stop, it was fairly warm, however, and they tell me that about 50 riders DID sign up for the run, although just 5 finished, with the winner donating back 50% of his winnings! Now, there is a happy turn-out to this day anyway…H&D Roadhouse was literally PACKED with supporters of the cause…to fight and conquer Cystic Fibrosis…of which little Tanner suffers. He’s a frisky little guy, who had a ball all day long, even acted as MC there for awhile…!

Even though the vendor participation was cut back because of the weather, the bands were not…they had the place jumpin’…! And the food…well, it was out of this world, and it just kept coming all afternoon! Donated prizes overflowed the tables, as the silent auction took place. Some real nice items there, along with a hand made guitar, by Poppa Chuck, and a big flat screen TV, dinner certificates, and too many more to mention! As the rain abated a bit, a big bonfire was started out back…that certainly drew a crowd! Thanks to Harry, Debbie, and their family and very able staff for catering to the tremendous crowd. They tell me that as of this writing, over $4,500 was raised…thank you to everyone!!
