What makes anyone a “biker”? I’ve been a riding since long before many here were born. Started many a $100 basket case and built more scooters from swap meet parts than I could ever remember.. And yes, my first basket came to life with jammer and drag parts from a catalog, while the “real bikers” laughed.. – 1970 something…

I’ve rode across the USA enough times I knew when I needed a gas can to supplement the fat bobs and make the next station in the desserts. I’ve been strong enough and loved enough to wear that 1% with rocker, been in a coma and lived thru enough left hand cage assholes, only to ride again… So what… They make bikes from a catalog… So does almost every person I watched pass my old Panhead and asked “what’s that pedal for”… What makes anyone a biker? Respect for two wheels, and someone else on them… There sure doesn’t seem to be much of that in today’s world…. I’m not anyone to say someone else isn’t a biker.. I ride because I know nothing else.. That doesn’t make me a biker… I’ll stop and give you gas from my tanks.. But even that doesn’t make me a biker… It makes me old school… And… Unless I’m standing besides my scooter on the side of the road and some douchebag passes me by.. Only then, only then I know who is, or isn’t…
