$25k and 2500 miles does not make you a biker

The chances of dropping your bike are proportionate to the number of people watching.

The beauty of this is that we have all dropped ’em a time or two and it’s fun to know that we are not alone.

I hope none of these folks got hurt too bad. $25k and 2500 miles does not make you a biker.

Leathernecks MC “FUCK RADICAL ISLAM” Party + May 28, 2016 Party by Miserable George

“Plenty of true brotherhood abounded there that day among the several clubs in attendance”

After several years of bad weather for this event, we finally copped a beautiful day at the Leatherneck’s CH on May 28, 2016, on Forrest Ave., in Cocoa, FL. As always, the guys went overboard for OSB Magazine…as well as good food and music all day long. PLUS, two gorgeous bikini bike wash girls…Becca, and Elle…more than just pretty faces…they worked hard all day!!

Plenty of true brotherhood abounded there that day among the several clubs in attendance. I for one, am looking forward to their next event. Ride safe guys…thank you all for your service.

The Billy Lane WE Know… by ValGal and Miserable George

I met Billy Lane in 1999…

I had just moved here and was hanging with a few of my Dads friends. … So I ended up going to a party with them at a motorcycle shop in Melbourne, Florida.  THAT’S where I met Billy Lane for the first time. I had no idea who he was or what he did, to me he was just another young guy with a shop.  Well, come to find out after talking to him and looking at the bikes he built I was amazed at the uniqueness of his work. I knew then he would make it in this crazy biker world. He treated me with respect and was very patient with my (then) lack of knowledge of motorcycles.  We have seen him numerous times over the years since then. We Love Billy and his talent for building some of the most awesome machines I’ve ever seen… I will always, NO MATTER WHAT, have respect for what he does and what he’s faced in life. It’s not always how we want it to be but if you deal with the cards the way they fall we ALL can make it through this crazy life.

Antique Motorcycle Club of America by Miserable George

Several weeks ago, we got a call from Jim Kuhman, from the Sunshine Chapter of AMCA, inviting OSB to a gathering they were having in Grant, FL. at the Grant Station on U.S.#1. It turned out to be a very pleasant, and, informative day, offering opportunities to photograph many REAL old school bikes…several of which will be featured in OSB. After lunch at Grant Station, we motored south to Earl’s Hide-away, a popular gathering spot for bikers on the Indian River in Sebastian, just off U.S.#1. There, I stumbled on an old school Flattie I’ve been searching out for over a year!!

Good Times By Rev. Al Paquette

Back in the 1980’s every Labor Day weekend

we packed up our camping equipment in the Ford econ van with the gold colored bubble windows poking out from the sides and the carpeted walls . Sharon drove the van and I would ride my bike. We met at the Longwood rest stop and the pack would ride up to Mayo, Fl .to our favorite campsite on the Suwanee River. There we would spend the whole weekend laughing, swimming and well I can’t remember the rest. Sharon will have to tell you.

There was this high bank with springs and a rope swing. Some of our best laughs were watching a bunch of crazy drunk men doing flips off that rope swing.  Bigfoot brought his boat and pulled us up and down the river on inner tubes. Bubba needed a steel cable to be pulled by after trying the ropes too many times.  Laughter was the main thing we did. One night I was getting bit up by Mosquitos so I grabbed a can and sprayed myself. Sharon found me passed out later with a can of Pam next to me. I couldn’t figure out why everyone was calling me Slick the next morning.  One night these divers in glowing masks came up out of the springs and about freaked all of us out. Just good old stupid stuff would give us many good times.  We took over that campsite and I’m sure all of us bikers kept the norm away. Lots of great almost memories. Like I said, you’ll have to ask Sharon. I haven’t drank or done drugs in 30 years but I still get to see some of the old crowd.  Bigfoot, Castro, Santa, Wayne, and Curtis I will always remember our special times in Mayo R.I.P.
