Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Chopper Time Bike Show 2022

ValGal and I drove in the rain nearly all the way to Chopper Time at Willie’s on Thursday morning, March 10, 2022. When we pulled into the huge Publix parking lot, there were patches of blue sky showing, and the rain had stopped. It was the first time I had ever seen that big parking area….FULL UP…!!!

Missed my friend, Jackman, he was not able to make it this time, so I went right to work…solo. Just after 1PM, the breeze turned cold, dark clouds formed up, and the rain returned…not heavy, but, things did NOT look good, so Val and I decided to call it a day…!!!

On our drive to Pappas Restaurant, the sky opened up…nasty…!! We had our traditional Bike Week supper, (Val treated), and headed for home in off and on showers all the way…!

But, it was a fun day…tremendous crowd at Willie’s, many good pictures!!! Ran into Billy Lane…that’s always nice!

Hey, see ya all next time…

WILLIE’S TROPICAL TATTOO CHOPPER SHOW Biketoberfest 2021 by Miserable George

The weather around Brevard County, Fla. had started to cool down….just a tad, however, the big chopper show at Willie’s Tattoo on US#1 in Ormond Beach must have attracted that hot weather and brought it back again!!! On Oct.14, 2021, it was HOT!!! There is a good side of that, however, the girls cut back on their clothes, and at Willie’s…..THEY DID!!!! I gotta say however, the array of choppers there just  MIGHT have out-done the babes…(sorry girls…but…it  is a motorcycle show!!!) For Biketoberfest, I’d say that the crowd was UP…!! I ran into several friends that I hadn’t seen for several years…that’s always nice. I had the company of ace photographer, JACKMAN all day…we helped each other spot babes… oh, and BIKES too!!! Lots of food and cold stuff on hand, and I never did get the name of the band…sorry guys. ValGal and I stuck it out to the very end…got pics of all the winners. Glad to see ol’ Willie up and around too…!!! Next show there will be Bike Week, 2022…watch for it. Hey, thank a VET today, and GOD BLESS AMERICA…

WILLIE’S TROPICAL TATTOO CHOPPER SHOW by Miserable George

For me, I’d say that this is my favorite segment of Daytona’s Bike Week. It’s many parts of some Bike Week requirements all rolled into one…FREE parking…(4 wheelers too), choppers galore, live band(Big Rick and the Troublemakers), plenty of good food vendors, the cold stuff, (thirst quenchers), babes…( the HOT stuff), celebrities, Billy Lane & Company, Dave & Jody Perewitz to name a few, plus Roadside Marty, the MC who brings all this together into one fabulous show, the climax of which is the awarding of the hand made trophies to all the winners in the Chopper building competition. These choppers are not your run of the mill machines…they are the results of what goes through a man’s mind, and are finally projected into reality!!! If you’ve never seen this production…see it next time at Biketoberfest…you’ll thank me!!! Oh yeah, the weather for this event was perfect, and the crowd was HUGE!!! The pictures can show it to you a lot better than I can with words, so, enjoy!!!

I had a blast shooting them and mixing with the crowd…the kind of “work” I love.

Hey, see ya next time…ride safe, thank a Vet, and, GOD Bless America…

Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Bike Show Biketoberfest 2015 by ValGal and Miserable George

Ya know, there are rumors floating around that the 2015 Biketoberfest Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Ol’ School Chopper Show, may very well be the final one for Biketoberfest’s to come.

Never fear…regular Bike Week, it will still go on. We talked to Willie about this, and he’s still not 100% sure of what he’s gonna do. Well, if this year’s show was the last for Biketoberfest…I went out with a BANG…! Many, many eye catching, hand built, one-of-a-kind machines, graced the big lot out front, many of them sometimes decorated by a beautiful lady…!!

Oh yes…there were lots of eye catching babes there too…most of them willing to pose for a few pics, IF ya didn’t get too pesty.

A real treat again this year, was the presence of ace bike builder, Dave Perewitz, who also provided hand made trophies for some of the various winners.  Our friend, ROGUE…(check spelling), was on the grounds too, as was the legendary Billy Lane…lookin’ good, BIlly..!!

And, as always, the inimitable Roadside Marty did his fabulous job as MC, as only HE can do it…Lots of older Vets there enjoying the action too…always glad to see those men out and about. Let’s NEVER forget those men and what they sacrificed for our security.

Big thanks too, to Big Rick and the Troublemakers Band…always nice to talk with Rick…Good job, guys. That’s it for now…til Bike Week, 2016…ride safe…
