No, we’re not giving away any cupcakes…this was a benefit gala for our friend CupCake Debbie Mazana. She’s been going through some serious health issues for several months now, and, things just caught up with her.
She’s very popular in our area, and has posed for several picture lay-outs for Old School Biker Magazine, so, when we heard of this benefit event, we hustled on over there to King’s Duck Inn, at 4155 Courtaney Pkwy. this past Aug. 20, 2017.
Folks, believe me when I say…..the place was PACKED to overflowing!! Lots of donated gifts adorned the inside, and were sold and auctioned off…all for Deb’s benefit. The hot band, “Love Valley” jammed all day long, and tributes were voiced about Deb as well…this lady is a SWEETHEART!!!
BUT, you couldn’t keep her down, as she climbed all over a huge Army Truck parked out back, for a bunch of photos!!! Wearing a skirt, no less…!!! We had a blast over there, and we DID run into several friends whom we hadn’t seen for quite a spell…that’s always nice!!
May I say, the food is excellent at King’s Duck Inn…!! This old boy had himself a feast!!! Deb has gone through with what we hope will be her last surgery, and we wish her all the BEST…! She’s a fighter…and…she WILL WIN…!!!
