Hello. Friday Aug 23 we had both bikes up and running again yahooo! We decided to make up some time and miles , so we hit rte 80 Highway to Heaven, how beautiful till the wind began to blow. Powerful. We ended up at the Bonneville Salt Flats for speed week in Wendover Utah. We met some very interesting guys and cool machines. 500 miles in, Sue’s bike had the same problem with low voltage. With a lot of whining we decided to put it in a U-Haul and tote it home. Off we go with Sue watching my rear. We made a few stops , visited a friend and continued to enjoy the beautiful countryside. We decided to split off in Kentucky at Mammoth Caves NP. Sue went onto Ma and I continued on to Fl. 35 days, 9177 miles, 6 National Parks , Pacific Coast Trail rte 101,Highway to Heaven rte 80, numerous National Forests, 2 swamp coolers, 1 dirt devil, numerous Indian Reservations, 21 states as a team. So very beautiful.
