A.N.U.S…..One wheeled Motorcycle Racing by Miserable George

Long-time biker, Sidecar Willy and a friend, thought about this racing conception while having a beer at the Cabbage Patch Bar, long about 1991.

As they discussed this idea, Willy made sketches on a bar coaster, which he took with him when they left. After much planning and designing, they came up with a working model, which was plagued with problems such as balance and the shifting of center of gravity, during acceleration, and deceleration.

Placing of skids, front and rear, and handlebars, as well as a place for the rider to sit, were problems which were finally worked out, and a working model got a test run at Bike Week, 1991….it was a success…sort of.

Continued working and engineering finally got them the machine they wanted, plus notoriety…other guys were getting on the band wagon…a new sport was born!!! Today, it’s gone world-wide. Google up A.N.U.S…for the full story, I think you’ll like it…

Harley-Davidson EL Knucklehead by Miserable George

The owner of this pristine machine…Dennis…has since passed away, and to be honest…I have no idea where the bike is today, but I came across these photos in my archives, and simply had to share this fine machine with our OSB friends. As I remember, we shot the bike at Wickham Park, in Melbourne, Fl. I have heard that this model can bring as much as $175,000, depending on condition….complete and un-restored. This one, of course, was completely restored, to be ridden. I’m hoping our readers will enjoy the photos…

Thoughts from Prison by Rev Al Paquette

As I write this Sharon and I are in Pennsylvania going into the prisons. So far we have been in 4 in the past four days, with one more tomorrow. It has been a whirlwind trip. We didn’t even bring the ‘Doin Time’ bike up.

Tonight we were in the Muncy women’s prison that holds around 1500 inmates.  I have been preaching the message all week. Jesus is the way,the truth, and the life. I’ve been telling the inmates to not live their lives unproductive. Don’t waste your life being wasted. All I do is tell them that I stay productive and in turn I am Blessed.

This is the ninth year of coming into Pa for prison ministry. Most of the prisons know us and we get right in. Sunday, our first prison was a little setback because Sharon failed a swab test.

They said she tested positive for synthetic marijuana.

If you know Sharon at all,you know that’s further from the truth than anything.  She sat in the parking lot for 3 hours until I got finished.

We could have complained, got mad, pitched a fit, but if we had, all prisons would have banned us. I did what I came here for and all the rest has been smooth.

Be productive and don’t just hang in there, press on.
