Cochise’s Blue Plate Show by Valgal

What a GREAT DAY in Daytona! The weather was the best it has been in a while… Winter is coming !!!

Cochise Chop’s Magazine has been putting on his Blue Plate Special Show for a few years now and was determined to make it this year! Super glad I did!

Walking around and looking at the oldies, but goodies sure takes you back to the ‘good old days’ and you miss the simplicity of life in those days… But we take a deep breath and just tackle what life throws at us the best we can. As you will see in the photo’s, fun was had by all!….

Shovelheads were parked out front of the Famous Boot Hill Saloon and parking space filled up quickly. No bands to yell over, just great conversation with friends old and new… Big shout out to Orange John the awesome drag racer and all the friends from Pennsylvania… Enjoy the photos and please share our website to one and all! 1947 Indian Chief BM by Valgal

VINTAGE 1947 INDIAN CHIEF BM TURNS INTO A MASTERPIECE
AFTER MULTI-YEAR RESTORATION PROCESS.

In 1939 Indian went to Bonneville Salt Flats to set LSRs with Chiefs and Scouts. Out of that effort came a ‘Bonneville’ edition. The Bonneville motor was available until the end for the Chiefs, but it was a rare option. If you like to stay out in front, then this is the Motorcycle for you. The Bonneville engine is a factory performance upgrade. Obviously, there are substantial internal motor part differences, which accounts for the superior performance levels, power, and faster top end speed of the Bonneville.

BILLY LANE…SONS OF SPEED 2020

I’ve known Billy Lane for quite a few years now, and when I heard about his “Sons of Speed” project, I knew it would be a success!! It’s been in operation for over 3 years now, and is growing steadily. We always catch the racing out at New Smyrna Speedway in Samsula, Fl….a half mile, with a fair amount of banking, providing plenty of action. Several lady racers have also joined in the action!!!. The pictures you see here are from the first race, up to the last one during Bike Week, 2020. No information as yet on the plans for Biketoberfest…stay tuned…ride safe…enjoy the photos…

H&D Roadhouse…Bikes ‘n Babes

In the few short years that H&D Roadhouse has been open, it has become Brevard County’s primo Biker Bar, featuring bikes, cars, and of course…BABES. We’ve tried to cover those categories today in Old School Biker Magazine. We ask on behalf of Harry and Deb Vigliano, the owners and operators, that you patronize this fabulous establishment….a local business, run by local folks. You’ll be glad you did…we thank you…THEY thank you…! GOD bless you all…

Gus Karnes Flatty by Valgal

Gus Karnes HD  1942 WLA 45 SV, known as a flathead… I was on a mission in Daytona the other day and stopped to see a good friend Brent Dwyer.

That’s when I met Gus… He is the owner of this beautiful Flatty… I asked about info on this bike and he said it was “civilianized out of the box” Then said “it’s a good bike”. I guess that’s all that needed to be said.

Gus you are one of the original ‘old school’ bikers I love and Thank you so much for your hospitality…
