WAYNE  CARPENTER’S Panhead by Miserable George

I shot this one-of-a-kind Panhead chopper back in 1999 at beautiful Ballard Park in Melbourne, Fl.

It was built by Wayne Carpenter, of Southern V-Twin, in Melbourne, Fl. Sorry, but, I don’t have the specs, but as you can see, the paint, and all the work is absolutely flawless.

I have no idea where this machine is today, but, you can call Wayne, at Southern V-Twin…321-255-1600. He built an engine for me several years ago, and, it was perfect!!!

Ride of the Month – Taylor Creek Rd.

This is one of our favorite rides.

You can do this one from north to south or any way you like.

Our map starts on I95 and SR50 and ends on i95 and SR520.

We personally like to go up SR3 (Courtenay Pkwy) through the space center and out SR405 to SR50.

If you are south, you can come in on Deer park/Nova Rd, folks up north can get it off of SR46 and come in through Christmas.

I suppose most of you know that, but for those who don’t, I really think you will like this one. While you’re on 520 at the St John’s River you have to make the stop at Lone Cabbage Fish Camp. Great food, great folks, live bands (sometimes) and a beautiful view. Did I mention lots of bike parking and a real “biker friendly” atmosphere? Hope to see you there.

Nostalgia at the Redfish Inn 2004 Flashback by Miserable George

This place has had many names down through the years,

and back in 2004, it was the Redfish Inn, and, a very popular watering hole on U.S.#1 in Cocoa, Fl, near the flea market. It seems that there was always something interesting going on…from spaghetti wrestling, to a mini-concert by Big Mike Griffin, and TV’s “good ol’ boy”…Mickey Jones.

The weather was as variable as the entertainment…beautiful for awhile, then, a whopper blowing in off the Space Center!! But, one thing you could always count on, was a banner crowd, to partake of the entertainment, the pretty girls, and the good food!!

The place still boasts all these things today, but, with a different name…”The Oyster Bar”…on U.S.#1, just north of Cocoa, Fl. Tell ‘em Old School Biker” sent ya…OK?

The Derelicts CC’s Indian River Rumble by Augie

The Derelicts CC’s fourth Rumble really came into its own this year

I can understand the light attendance of motorcycles at this year’s annual Indian River Rumble. Even though some of my friends did ride up, they came up after the morning showers. Most of the car guys have bikes and vice versa, but it was pouring when I walked out my door and half of the drive up. That was the bad news.  Those who might have stayed home missed a hell of a gathering, and it didn’t seem like many missed it.

Bikers in Need BIN Run – Photos by Jay Grose

Our 5th annual Bin Run was a great success!!

We could not have done it without all our volunteers and supporters. Big thank you to all of you! We had a approx. 150 bikes on the run, and many at the end. Thank you to Brevard Sheriff Department for getting us there safe and sound. As always, Legion post 117 came through with the parking, food, and their continued support of The Bin.

There is so many to thank, but I don’t want to leave anyone out. So, THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!  From The Bin!!
